Welcome to Crisis Training Center!

Recently, walking through a retail store, I saw this sign that read, “Every family has a story, welcome to ours.” Our story is very simple. For many years we have worked with professional first responders and also had the privilege to come alongside many disaster relief volunteers and community responders. After a big change in our lives, we decided to launch Crisis Training Center (CTC), a place for hope, health, and healing.

We have seen firsthand the positive impact proper training can have on responders’ mental health and career life span. Training, strong peer support, and support from leadership are the foundations for supporting responders – allowing us to care for the caregivers.

Our name is significant and shows our why and our how:

Crisis – everyone in their life whether personally or professionally will go
through a crisis. The first responder community experiences an average of
700 critical incidents in the career span. We want to provide the best curriculum to help them cope and be healthy.

Training – helps equip people with the skills they need to do their jobs more
effectively. It is important for first responders because it provides opportunities to work together, learn from one another, and develop stronger relationships. CTC helps first responders stay current, build their skills, and improve outcomes, and improve responder confidence in navigating through critical incidents. Empowers responders to utilize safety resources. Is a long-term investment for staff members.

Center – the point from which an activity or process is directed, or on which
it is focused. We strive to create a center in which the first responder community, disaster relief community, and community responders can come and receive the training they need to maintain their health and wellbeing.

This is the beginning of our new journey…we have so much more to do. Let’s work together!
